Templates are saved on the computer rather than the account. So you probably deleted them by accident.

Templates are saved to a sub-folder under guildwars main file. Possible to saved over or deleted on accident.

Runner beat me to it.

Always a wise move to keep your Windows and Data on separate partitions; for instance my Windows is on C drive, my programs and data (including games) on D drive. That way I can restore my system without touching my data.

Did you just do a Quick Restore or did you do the full System restore back to original factory condition?

A system restore will not delete files, it overwrites your system files only....what it sounds like you did was a format and re-install of the original install disk. I know they probably called it a system restore....but it's not. Hope you managed to save information you may have had stored elsewhere too.

Most virus infections can be cured by a decent Anti-virus program or at least removed without having to format. Of course having a decent Av program in the first place is better....go download AVG....it's fairly good....use it myself.

Actually, most systems nowadays can be restored to factory specs with a single button press on boot. The option is called "System Restore" since it restores the system to it's original condition.
